My mom and me!

I wanted to let everyone see who the biggest influence in my life was. It was my precious little mother, Mabel Drake.
Mom was a Missionary Evangelist to Jamaica, Haiti, and Africa. Jesus took mom home on March 18, 2002, just 4 days after open heart surgery.

Oh, how I miss her coming to my house and wrapping me in her arms and saying, "Do you need Mommy to pray for you"? I always wanted her to pray for me because when Mom prayed, something happened! In my memory I can still hear her praying as I started up our sidewalk when I was a teenager in Tennessee. Not many people can say that, but the three Drake sisters were blessed beyond measure with a loving, praying, Godly mother!  Mom said to me one time that she was, "the best little friend I would ever have on this earth"! I didn't know how true that was until Jesus took her home. You were right Mom, about everything!
